Get your free org and connect it
Every hands-on lesson in Apex Quest runs in your own Salesforce org. Let's get you one.
1. Sign up for a Developer Edition org
- Go to developer.salesforce.com/signup
- Fill in the form. The username must look like an email address but doesn't have to be a real one, e.g.
you@apexquest-dev.com - Check your inbox, verify your account and set a password
It's free, and it doesn't expire as long as you log in now and then.
Already have a Trailhead Playground? That works too, because it's a Developer Edition org.
2. Connect it to Apex Quest
Click Connect org in the top-right corner and log in with your new org's credentials. Apex Quest asks for API access so it can run your code and check your work.
What Apex Quest will and won't do
- ✅ Runs the Apex you write, then rolls it back, so your data stays clean
- ✅ Reads metadata (classes, triggers, objects) to grade your builds
- ✅ Runs your Apex tests
- ❌ Never connects to sandboxes or production orgs
3. Hit Submit
Once you're connected, press Submit and Quill will say hello to your org.
